Community Health Assessment (CHA)
United Way of Lincoln County partnered with the Lincoln County Health Department and Atrium Health to conduct a community health assessment (CHA). The CHA is incredibly important in identifying and addressing the major issues of our community. The top priorities for Lincoln County are access to transportation, behavioral health support, and affordable childcare. The secondary priority of the CHA is Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), which are potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood.
The CHA will be available soon.
ALICE
ALICE, or Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed, represents the often overlooked, hardworking population in all our communities who live above the Federal Poverty Line but still struggle to afford basic living costs. These are essential workers that keep our economy running efficiently. The data collected by United for ALICE doesn’t just outline the information, it highlights the unseen population in need. It explains the gaps where our government has been unable to help. ALICE is just one crisis away from being homeless, hungry or unemployed.
